Final Rewards Program Launch Update

Hello everyone,

The launch of our new rewards program is right around the corner!  If you missed our last two emails, we will be fully launching our new rewards program on January 5th.  Our new program will put you fully in control of your rewards; providing exciting new opportunities to earn and to share your valuable insight with the world!

When the new program launches, any remaining cash balance in your account will be automatically converted to our new points program (governed under our new Terms & Conditions).  However, you still have time to request any available earnings in your account before 4 PM EST on January 4th.

We are excited to be a part of the Toluna family, and have worked hard to build a new rewards program that will give you with the power and flexibility to choose the rewards that are best for you.  Use your points for the things you really want – be it cash, merchandise, charitable donations or exciting prizes!

Once again, if you choose to hold onto your current earnings, your existing balance will automatically be converted into points. What better way to start off the New Year – you will already be on your way to exploring a variety of new rewards!   And remember, those rewards are just the first of many upgrades we will be introducing.

Please review the following information carefully about upcoming changes to your account:

If you are currently only a Greenfield Online member, beginning February 1st, we will be closing the Greenfield Online site, and you will officially become a Toluna USA member! In the meantime, you can continue to earn points, participate in surveys, and communicate with the community directly through your Greenfield Online account.

However, if you currently have both a Greenfield Online and a Toluna USA account, then on January 5th, access to your account will be available solely through the www.Toluna.com website.  At this time, your two accounts will have been merged into one and your Greenfield Online information will be combined with your existing Toluna account. If you try to login through the Greenfield Online site, you will receive a message that your information is not valid.

We will be sending out updates as we get closer to this final step in the transition, so be sure to check back often for new ways to interact with the Toluna community.   Find out what people just like you are thinking and let your unique voice be heard!

As always, we are committed to providing you with the best possible service and support.  If you have any questions regarding the changes to the rewards program, please review our FAQ, or do not hesitate to contact us at TolunaRewards@greenfield.com.

Sincerely,

The Panel Support Team at Toluna

I am ONLY a Greenfield member so I'm assuming my usual log-in information will get me into the new Toluna site, right? Also, will we be receiving surveys the same way we receive them from GF (via email) or do we have to log on and see if there are surveys available? Will there be a forum there like the message boards here?

I cashed out a couple of weeks ago and have not done a survey since. No point. Once I see what the deal is with Toluna, I'll decide whether to continue to be a member or not. I find this all rather dismal.

Hi July,

You will continue to use your Greenfield login information to log in to the Greenfield site through the end of January.  On February 1st, you will be redirected to the Toluna site and will continue to use the same login information.  Toluna sends survey invitations through email, and there is currently not an option to participate directly through the site.  There are different ways to communicate with other panel members, such as discussion topics, but they currently do not have a forum like Greenfield.  We are still discussing the future of the forum and if it can be migrated to the Toluna site.

Hi Spalady,  we are doing everything we can to close any open surveys before the end of the month, but I cannot guarantee that every study will be closed by the deadline.  However, whether they do close before or after the migration, you will receive credit for those surveys and nothing will be lost.

Thank you for your questions,

Sara

Toluna cash awards need 60,000 points to cash out for $20 and you get 3,000 plus for doing surveys but most only give 3,000 or don't qualify and also don't like will send you survey said be instant winner of 1 to 3 dollars and also get the lowest amount $1 equally 3,000 points and surveys are long for the amount you get. I been with them quite while and only have 18,500 points. Like to read their board comments and questions for members.

Being a member of both, i am curious as to if the GFOL format will just morph on over to the exisiting Toluna platform with all the crap and sluggish response it yields whenever i try to do anything on it. (such as voting in their inane polls for example)

Or will the toluna site's format be improved ?

Thanks much,

Good morning everyone,

I will answer quickly because I have about 300 emails (not even exagerating) waiting in the mailbox this morning regarding this.  But....

Zippy- No, PayPal will remain and processing times of payments will also stay the same, and this will be an improvement over the current Toluna model

Leica- Currently only small changes are planned for the format of the Toluna site, but in time other things may be updated, but I don't have any information about that right now

Lightyear- I don't know why you would be having trouble emailing.  the TolunaRewards@greenfield.com mailbox receives mail from all email provider services, you do not need Outlook Express to contact us.

I will check in a little later today to help with any additional questions here, but again if you sent a message to the mailbox, it's going to be a little while before I'm able to respond, so I thank you in advance for your patience.

Hi again, quick update.  The payment request cutoff time has been updated to 4 PM EST on January 4th.  The time was moved forward from midnight as we will need to shut our systems down that evening for the transition, and do not want anyone to miss the opportunity to request their earnings.

Thank you,

Sara

hi sara

many are wondering about the invokes we have rewards coming to us from .will these be paid through GF before the merger?

and also even more importantly ,will they be charging us to get paid like they do now? it seems unfair to "charge a fee" to get paid ,it sounds like somthing obama would do   lol

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.  Once again, there is a lot of catching up to do from the long weekend, so any emails you send in I will reply to as soon as I can.

But to add the question of Invoke studies- which I am getting A LOT of questions about.  Like every other study, we are doing everything we can to get these closed and credited this week, or at least before the 4th.  We're hopeful that just about everything will be credited on time.  In the event that we can't issue the credit before the transition, you will still receive the equivalent amount in points credited to your account.  As of this morning though, we have received 4 Invoke payment files and we will get those credits uploaded to your accounts by tomorrow at the latest.

nyceguy59- I've deleted your post since it contains your personal contact information, however as I mentioned above we're doing everything we can, and at this time, I'm not comfortable giving out specific dates of when a study will be credited since I haven't received the files yet.

Thank you,

Sara

Hmm i have a question, my toluna account has the same email address as my GFOL account tied to it. However my Toluna user id is NOT the email address which  we log into the GFOL site with.

Which makes me wonder which user id one should use to log in when the change is made? the name@xxx.com address or the user name for toluna that i use ck_lxxxx?

I was previously a member of XXX; cash out was @ $5. Then last year Toluna bought them, making me a member of Toluna. Up until last month or so, cash out was @ $10; I noticed a few weeks ago that cash out is @ $20; for some that might take forever; seems that this is the trend with a lot of companies, that and turning monies into point values :(

I am not a big fan of this system; but onward and upward. And what about *invoke opportunities*?? Will those be gone as well, will we be getting twice as many survey opportunities; I get way more from Greenfield than Toluna has ever offered.

thanks

Good morning everyone,

Leica, after the transition, you will login to the Toluna website using your current Toluna login information.  That will not be changing, but you Greenfield login will no longer be valid.

Also, ptajuggalette- Invokes will still be offered after the transition, and you will continue to receive the same amount of survey opportunities that currently receive through Greenfield.

Best,

Sara

ok. Then let me raise this question for those who only have a GFOL membership. I know when toluna took over that other company, i was issued a new user id for the toluna site.

Does this also mean that current GFOL members who are not also Toluna victims will also be given a new user id other than our email addresses that we use for here?

(expiring minds need to know) :-P

Hi Leica,

As most GFOL members have seen upon login recently, we have been asking everyone to choose a username that they will use after the transition on the Toluna site.  So in other words, yes, all panelists that currently do NOT have a Toluna account, will have the opportunity to choose a username that they will use on the Toluna website instead of logging in with their email address.

hi Sara,

i went to the toluna site today and did some research on minimum cash outs   the way i read it is that there will be a $20 threshhold in or after january 10.  so does that mean that we cant cashout on paypal until we have atleast $20 after 1/4/10  ??

Good morning,

cmark- I know some panelists have complained about this, but it seems that if you delete your cookies and try again in a new browser the text box to type in your username will appear

brcklyr- yes, this is correct, although Toluna is adopting our payment times, we have to follow their cashout threshold rules, so the new payout amount will be $20 starting January 5th.

unclechez- since Greenfield and Toluna are merging together, you will continue to receive the same quality and number of surveys that you have been receiving at Greenfield.  Also, with the new rewards program, although the cashout threshold is higher, accumulating points, and therefore rewards will be much faster.

just another question regarding invokes.  I did one for $20 on dec 14 and it hasnt been credited to me yet.  Will this happen before or after the switch over to toluna's format?  Will this perhaps happen prior to the cash out date for those of us who prefer GFOL's system?

Hi Leica,

As I've been saying, we're trying to get as much closed and credited before the cutoff on Monday, but unfortunately it's not going to be possible for every survey.  I think right now we're down to two Invokes that have not been credited yet, and unfortunately for those, it appears that we won't have them ready before Monday.  If this turns out to be true, your account will still be credited for full incentive, however it will be in its point equivalent.  So, your $20 will appear as 60,000 points, which you will still be able to immediately redeem.

I'm sorry I don't have better news about it, we've tried everything we can to get the studies closed, but there were bound to be some stragglers.

i never doubted GFOL!  I was only curious.  I sort of expected ,no matter how well planned, that there would be some sort of monkey wrench, or should i say spanner? (lol) ,into the best laid plans by the folks higher up in management.  This is the nature of the takeover beast as everything is never completed on time

   hi sara,

this type of involvment such as what your role is here at GF really is vital to the panelist community .i am on other sites and none of them have the 1on1 communiction that we have here on a public level.I truly hope that the "BRASS" at toluna recognizes the importance and the continuity of the position you play in the needs of the panelists .not many people are cut out for the job that you do Sara .you deserve a promotion and if that is the case you will be sorely missed .

hi sara ,

someone in my household has an existing account with toluna.

i do not have an account at toluna.

under the current rules it states that only one account per household is allowed at toluna.     i asked in an earlier forum if it would be a problem after the change.

ou said it would be ok . if i were to get an account over at toluna on 1-4-10 right before the deadline .would that jepordize any points that she acumulated at toluna under the current rules?

the reason why i ask is that by settingup an account in advance of the official cut off time it would elimanate the hassle that cmark4265 is having with trying to get a username

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the delayed reply, I've been trying to get caught up with emails all morning.

brcklyr, thank you for your kind words. I am not sure yet what my involvement with the panel will be after the transition, but I have enjoyed working and "meeting" everyone here on our forum, and hope that I will continue to be in touch with you all.  To answer your question, we're taking household accounts with both sites into consideration, and neither account will be affected by the change.  They will each remain open and separate, so you have nothing to worry about.

As for opening another Toluna account, this also should not be a problem and should not interfere with points, however I don't recommend opening one so close to the deadline, just in case there is anything in our system that prevents us from capturing both of your accounts and merging them. And I see that you were able to set up your username already, so you did not encounter the error that cmark described.

Speaking of which, cmark, I just took a look in our database, and it shows that you do have your username set up as cmark4265, so I am assuming that the problem did resolve itself?

Please let me know if you have any additional questions, here or at the TolunaRewards@greenfield.com mailbox and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Best,

Sara
